Sensio recently welcomed the President of the Norwegian Parliament, Masud Gharahkhani, to Eden Court care home in Battersea to mark the rollout of its AI-powered fall-prevention technology as part of a major partnership valued at approximately £1.5 million.

The visit, which took place on Tuesday 20 January, brought together delegates from the Norwegian Parliament and business community to recognise the growing collaboration between the UK and Norway in addressing challenges in health and social care through innovation.

Sensio’s RoomMate system is being installed in every resident’s room across Cinnamon Care Collection homes, including Eden Court in Battersea. Cinnamon Care Collection, which operates 23 care homes across the UK, is one of the first major care home groups in the country to implement Sensio’s technology at scale.

The infrared-based RoomMate system monitors resident movement and alerts care teams in real time, enabling faster and more responsive care. By supporting early intervention, the technology helps to reduce the risk of falls while maintaining residents’ privacy, dignity, and independence.

The visit demonstrated the vital impact of global collaboration and technology-driven innovation in supporting older adults and relieving strain on health and social care systems.

Falls are still one of the top causes of hospital admissions for people over 65, costing the NHS more than £2.3 billion a year. Through partnerships such as this, Sensio continues to support care providers in delivering truly person-centred care using advanced, privacy-first technology.

It has been fantastic to be here today and to welcome the President of the Norwegian Parliament - a truly exciting opportunity to be part of. ” Says Lisa Delaney, Country Director Sensio.

Gavin Pathmarajan, Head of Care and Quality for Cinnamon Care Collection adds;

“It’s been a pleasure to welcome Masud Gharahkhani and his delegation to Eden Grange today. We hope the visit showcased a true example of partnership working that wholeheartedly supports our residents’ quality of life and wellbeing - going above and beyond fall prevention alone.”
