Key outcomes

  • Clearer, real-time visibility of resident wellbeing across the home
  • Greater reassurance and confidence, especially during night shifts
  • More proactive care through early insight and alerts
  • Better understanding of resident behaviour to support personalised care
  • Successful group-wide rollout of RoomMate following strong results at Foxhunters
  • RoomMate: A revolutionary infrared safety sensor designed with discretion and privacy in mind. It provides continuous awareness of activity and alerts care teams to events that may require attention, such as potential falls.
  • Sensio Vista, a real-time web portal that gives care teams a clear, live overview of resident activity and alerts across large screens, PCs, and tablets

Like many care providers, Foxhunters was looking for ways to continue delivering exceptional care in an increasingly complex environment.

With growing resident needs, particularly for those living with dementia, the team wanted better visibility across the home and more confidence in how they responded to care alerts - especially overnight. They were also keen to reduce unnecessary disruption for residents, while gaining clearer insight into falls and movement patterns to help improve care planning.

At the heart of it all was a simple goal: to support care teams in their day-to-day work, so they can help residents live safely, comfortably, and with dignity.

Foxhunters introduced Sensio’s award winning care technology, combining:

Vista helps teams stay connected and informed across multiple care hubs, while RoomMate adds an extra layer of reassurance by gently monitoring resident activity and highlighting when support may be needed.

Together, these solutions help care teams feel more informed, more supported, and better able to focus on what matters most - the wellbeing of every resident.

The difference has been felt both in day-to-day care and in the confidence of the team.

“The Vista system is clever, compact, and exactly what we need,” says Leah Mort, Home Director. “Having the visual overview on the large screens in our care hubs has made a real difference in our ability to quickly respond to residents who need assistance.”

With clearer visibility and structured escalation in place, care teams are able to respond more quickly and consistently when support is needed.

RoomMate has also helped the team gain a deeper understanding of resident behaviour, including instances where individuals were gently lowering themselves to the floor rather than experiencing accidental falls. This insight has supported more accurate care planning and helped improve both safety and confidence for residents.

“The impact has been significant,” Leah adds. “Team members feel much more confident in their ability to monitor and respond to resident needs, particularly during night shifts.”

The success of the project comes from bringing together simple, intuitive technology with meaningful, real-world insight.

Vista offers care teams gentle reassurance and clarity at a glance, while RoomMate provides a deeper understanding of what is happening in the moment. Together, they help support more confident decision-making, while keeping day-to-day care as natural and uncomplicated as possible.

Just as importantly, the close partnership between Sensio and the Foxhunters team has meant the system continues to evolve in line with real needs on the ground, shaped by the experiences and feedback of the people using it every day.

Following the success at Foxhunters, Sensio has since being rolled out across the wider Dormy Care Communities group, reflecting the strong results seen in practice.

Foxhunters continues to lead by example in how digital care can be implemented in a thoughtful, person-centred way - showing how technology can enhance, rather than replace, the human side of care.

As the partnership continues, there is a shared focus on building on this foundation, using insight and innovation to further support residents and care teams alike
